The Research, Advocacy & Policy

The Research, Advocacy & Policy (RAP) Committee was established in 2009 by CIL CMH to support CIL activities in the areas of research, policy development, analysis, engagement and advocacy.

The committee supports CIL CMH to engage in awareness-raising events, nationally and internationally, to promote equality and the Philosophy of Independent Living and to encourage the full development of rights-based and leader-managed Personal Assistant services.

Current Activities:

  • Policy Subgroup to support internal policy development for use by CILs
  • Guidance of all European & International Activities of CIL CMH
  • Direct Payments Research, Policy Analysis & Campaigning
  • Submission to An Bord Pleanála re Dart Underground
  • Collaboration with the CIL Network Council on Policy Development
