Key Pieces of Work for CIL Self-Evaluation
- Compile existing policy material and assess further needs
- Communicate with Board members and avail of supports for governance structures
- Participate in the Managers Forum, to promote ongoing communication among managers and to continue the peer support developed during the training days
The following sample questions may act as a starting point for your local discussion on the support structures your CIL would like to see in place:
- Who are the Directors on your Board?
- When was your last AGM?
- Are Annual Reports compiled?
- Do you have audited accounts, and up to what period?
- Has the Board done training around Governance issues?
