South East Advocacy Service - SEAS

Overview

The South East Advocacy Service (SEAS), established early 2006, is funded by Comhairle and is managed by the South Eastern Region Centres for Independent Living (CILs). An advocate supports an individual to find out information and to make their views and wishes heard - particularly in relation to services that the individual receives or wishes to receive. The South East CILs are a group of six autonomous centres providing services to people with disabilities in Carlow, Gorey/Wexford, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and South Tipperary.  SEAS was set up to provide a one-to-one advocacy service for adults across the South East region, who are either accessing a South East CIL, or are waiting to access a service from a South East CIL. This service is strictly confidential and available to eligible individuals free of charge across the South East Region. The SEAS project mission is to:

The project will be evaluated both in-house, as per Comhairle's requirements, as well as externally with Goodbody Economic Consultants. Please click here for the project brochure.
