Forgotten Ireland

Forgotten Ireland engages a larger marketing on-line project whose aim is to promote Ireland as a homebase and a tourist destination. It also endeavours to increase worldwide awareness of the Irish Independent Living Movement, whilst also generating funds in support of the 'Bridge to Bosnia' project.

Online Board Project Objectives
- To gather 30,000 photos from all thirty-two counties.

- For each photograph that is used and produced on the web, it is planned that 50c will be donated to a fund that is then distributed between all the different CILs. For each photograph that appears and is bought off-line (at www.irishphotoshop.com), €1 will be donated. It is envisaged that 50% of each Euro raised will be donated to the 'Bridge to Bosnia ' project.

Activities
The project involves collecting old and new photographs of interesting sites like pubs; graves; signposts; churches etc, and availing them on a Irish Photoshop website (www.irishphotoshop.com)

The website has a significant following with up to 100,000 hits per month and growing. Most of the US visitors to the website are first and second generation Irish who wish to locate  places of personal family interest. Others are potential tourists who wish to view some of the less well-known areas before travelling to Ireland.

If you have any photographs which you feel Irish Photoshop would be interested in, please note the following:
