Strasbourg Freedom Drive Campaign: 5 - 9 September 2005
On behalf of CIL, Carmichael House, and the Strasbourg 2005 Freedom Drivers, we would like to sincerely thank everyone - both individuals and organisations - who took part in the Freedom Drive Email Campaign, and those who helped spread the word across Europe about the campaign! The response, particularly from European organisations and individuals, was really encouraging - and we know that the volume of mails sent through this website did make an impression on the Disability Intergroup membership, as we all asked just how committed the EU and its institutions actually are to the citizenship and participation of disabled people.
We hope to keep in touch with our colleagues across Europe as well as at home - a report on the Strasbourg 2005 campaign will shortly be available on this site.
