Legal Project
The Primary aim of the CIL legal project is to provide information and training on all relevant legislation, to people with disabilities throughout the country, and to encourage people with disabilities to initiate actions where disability related discrimination in particular has occurred.
CIL runs the legal project in conjunction with FLAC and the Forum of People with Disabilities. Its aim is to undertake research and to disseminate information and training on disability rights, entitlements and all legislation that affects people with disabilities. By doing so, it encourages people with disabilities to initiate the appropriate action where disability related discrimination in particular has occurred.
Objectives:
- To challenge and influence all legislation and related policies with a view to enhancing the rights and status of people with disabilities.
- To organise legislation awareness workshops for people with disabilities.
- To provide support to individuals with queries on their cases, in partnership with the Forum of People with Disabilities.
- To oversee legalities pertaining to visa applications in relation to the Bridge to Bosnia project.
